Starting April 1st we begin jig fishing on the reefs and shoreline of Lake Erie. This is a great time for walleye fishing! This can be a good time for BIG fish! It can be very fast action with limits within a couple hours!!
The weather starts to turn for the better with warmer temperatures, this leads to a consistent bite! Sometime around mid may we switch from jig fishing to casting and retrieving worm harnesses. This is a great time of year to go out and fill the box with a limit of 17-23 inch walleyes!
August, September, and October the Perch bite begins and will last until boats come out of the water. The Smallmouth Bass begin to bite as well. Walleye fishing remains good. Late fall we begin fishing shallow water reefs again for walleye which seem to have nicer fish ranging from 20-30 inch!
